I have been reading the Strobists blog lately. this is my first real attempt at off camera lighting. Oh and I asked him to make an angry face. He really is a good model.
Please let me know what you think of my pictures what you like and what could be improved. Here is a link to my wife's blog. It has lots of pictures but mostly of my kids.

@Observing: Ya he thinks he is invincible until he scraps his knee and needs a band-aid.
Great shot ... I'm wondering how exactly you lighted this ... could you give a brief explanation?

@Ron: Ya, I had a reflector to camera right with light from a window bouncing on him. I had a sunpak 383 with a silver umbrella camera left at 1/2 power. I then cheated and added the vignetting in CS3.

Such a great portrait. The lighting looks really good...the vignetting really does make a pro look. I will have to remember that.

haha i agree.he is a good model.haha.a very convincing angry face indeed.and i have to agree with the others.great lighting.although i have yet to dabble with lighting stuff.
