These are old post that were part of a pier that went out into the Great Salt Lake. The lake is not as big as it use to be. They still carry the white salt residue though.
Please let me know what you think of my pictures what you like and what could be improved. Here is a link to my wife's blog. It has lots of pictures but mostly of my kids.
I like your composition, here, and the story these old posts tell about the past. Terrific textures and muted colors ...

@Ron: Thanks. It is an odd place out there with all sorts of relics from the past buried in the white dirt.
